The Inkscape logo has been re-aligned

Nowadays the inkscape logo gets alot of exposure around the world and our beloved app has also greatly matured since the logo was first illustrated.

It’s high-time the logo-design matured to suit the quality of the app itself. So I’ve re-aligned the inkscape logo . Changes are now in svn trunk.
Hopefully without close comparison there is little difference to the casual observer.
So here is the 2-up just incase you don’t notice the change.

You can click the image to download the 2KB SVG file of the new logo.

Nice new logo! But when I see then new logo (http://andy.brisgeek.com/files/inkscape.svg this one) I see a clear line from the gradient. If you set Y2 of this gradient line on 185 you won’t see this any more.

the overshot is intentional. an alternative representation is to make the whole fill area white with 0.5 opacity

    Hiya,

we’re having a discussion about the quality of the inkscape logo in our German forum, too, thanks for re-aligning the logo. For me personally, it was, up to now, unacceptable for larger print stuff. I had a smoothed-out version in the works, too, but yours is cool, kudos!
